Consumer Products Laboratories Committee Meeting
The Consumer Products Laboratories Committee held its first meeting of 2021 on February 23, 2021, with the participation of members and TURKLAB General Secretary Çağatay Turan via the Zoom application.
During the meeting, Committee Chair Neslihan Sözer presented the 2020 TURKLAB activities and the goals for 2021. Information was provided regarding the meeting with the General Directorate of Market Surveillance and Inspection of the Ministry of Trade. There was an exchange of views on the communiqué (Product Safety and Inspection: 2021/18) regarding the inspection of certain textile, apparel, and leather products, which will come into effect on March 1, 2021, and it was decided to work on the standardization of the tests mentioned in this communiqué for the laboratories.
