The TURKLAB Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories Committee meeting was held online on 20 February 2026 with the participation of committee members.
During the meeting, the Committee Chair and members came together to evaluate recent developments in the veterinary diagnostic laboratories sector and discuss the challenges encountered in the field.
Within the scope of the meeting, several issues were addressed, including the performance and reporting of certain tests in veterinary clinics despite the absence of qualified specialists, competition conditions with laboratories accredited by bodies other than TÜRKAK, and the problems experienced in the import of tuberculosis kits and their impact on the rapid diagnosis of animal diseases. In addition, evaluations were made regarding the promotion of TURKLAB and encouraging laboratories in the sector to come together under the association’s umbrella.
The TURKLAB Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories Committee will continue its efforts to strengthen cooperation within the sector and contribute to the development of veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
