Construction Products Conformity Assessment Committee
At the first meeting of the Committee for this term, it was noted that there were no decisions carried over from the previous meeting, and the committee’s work plan was reviewed. It was decided to conduct a survey to identify members’ concerns prior to the planned meeting with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and to determine the agenda of the visit based on the results obtained.
During the meeting, member concerns such as the inadequacy of the market surveillance mechanism, the limited effectiveness of provincial directorates, and the lack of awareness among manufacturers regarding regulatory requirements were also discussed. In this context, it was decided to organize a visit to the Ministry and to prepare an information bulletin.
Committee members were also informed about the webinar titled “Recent Developments in the EU Green Deal and CBAM.” In addition, it was decided to provide awareness-raising information on the Digital Product Passport, which is being introduced within the scope of the EU Green Deal.
Another decision taken at the meeting was to continue committee meetings online during this period and to establish a WhatsApp group to facilitate rapid communication among members.
