Evaluation of Calibration Certificates Training
On 3 February 2026, the “Evaluation of Calibration Certificates Training” was delivered to the personnel of İstanbul Üniversitesi-Cerrahpaşa Adli Tıp ve Adli Bilimler Enstitüsü.
The training began with an introduction to metrology, during which key concepts such as the SI International System of Units and metrological traceability were explained. This was followed by detailed presentations on the Guide to Metrological Traceability (TÜRKAK R10.12 and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation P10), Maximum Permissible Error, Statement of Conformity and Decision Rule, as well as calibration and the evaluation of calibration certificates. Sample applications were also included throughout the training.
The programme concluded with practical exercises on the evaluation of sample calibration certificates for balances, reference weights, piston pipettes, drying ovens, temperature/humidity meters, and centrifuges.
