Interlaboratory Standardization Working Meeting Held
The meeting held as part of the “Interlaboratory Standardization in Laboratory Test Applications for Import Inspection Communiqués” activities carried out by TURKLAB in cooperation with the General Directorate of Product Safety and Inspection of the Ministry of Trade was conducted online on 23 September 2026, with the participation of industry representatives.
During the meeting, the opinions and assessments submitted within the scope of the “Technical Workshop Report”, which was prepared following the technical workshop held on 22 June 2026 and shared with the relevant officials of the General Directorate of Product Safety and Inspection of the Ministry of Trade, were discussed.
The meeting covered practices related to nickel release, phthalate and cadmium analyses; safety tests for different product and sample groups; and assessments regarding the implementation of the EN 14682 standard. In addition, views were exchanged on conducting interlaboratory practices within a common understanding and approach.
TURKLAB will continue its efforts to contribute to the implementation of interlaboratory practices within a common framework, strengthen the exchange of views on technical matters, and enhance the effectiveness of conformity assessment processes.
