The Calibration Committee Meeting was held on December 2, 2014.
TURKLAB Calibration Committee held its third meeting of the year on December 2, 2014, as a guest at Emis Calibration and Measurement Services Laboratory. The meeting reviewed the topics discussed in the previous meeting and evaluated the progress made.
Participants shared their concerns regarding the issues faced at TÜRKAK via email, with the goal of compiling all feedback for submission to TÜRKAK. It was decided to visit the General Directorate of Metrology and Standardization at the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology to present the capacities of TURKLAB member calibration laboratories to ministry officials, along with supporting documents.
Additionally, the committee discussed translating the VDI/VDE/DGQ 2618/1.2 and VDI/VDE/DGQ 2618/11.1 guide documents and conducting a prototype study. The completion of the remaining sections of the Illustrated Measuring Instruments Name List was agreed upon to ensure that calibration requests from customers are accurately understood, using a common language, and serving as a guide within laboratories.
The committee also made decisions to finalize the remaining sections of the guide document prepared to eliminate differing interpretations and information regarding calibration, making it beneficial for the industry and inspectors.
