TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Risk Management in Laboratories Training
On 19 December 2025, the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Risk Management in Laboratories Training was conducted for the staff of Istanbul University–Cerrahpaşa Institute of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences, lasting approximately 8 hours.
During the training, within the scope of the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, presentations were delivered on risk-based thinking, management of risks and opportunities, risk assessment, and risk analysis, with reference to the standards TS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management – Guidelines and TS EN 31010:2010 Risk Management – Risk Assessment Techniques.
Methods such as the consequence/probability matrix, SWOT analysis, and TOWS matrix were explained with examples. Practical risk analysis exercises were carried out on topics including impartiality, personnel, facilities and environmental conditions, equipment, and emergency situations. The training was completed with SWOT analysis and TOWS matrix exercises, as well as opportunity analysis examples.
