TURKLAB AYM Committee Meeting
The TURKLAB EGD (European Green Deal) Committee held its routine meeting on January 14, 2025. The meeting was concluded actively and efficiently with the support of the participating members. To enhance the effectiveness of the meeting, which had broad participation, a presentation was delivered by the Committee Chair, Ms. Neşe Güneş. The presentation aimed to raise awareness among committee members regarding the EGD.
During the meeting, evaluations were made concerning the working principles and guidelines of the committee.
In the agenda-based meeting, discussions were held on the preparation or procurement through collaborations of a sectoral standard to be made available for our members regarding the “Sustainable Laboratory Standard” (SLS). The SLS encompasses topics such as energy conservation in laboratories, laboratory waste management, design of heating and cooling systems, preventive maintenance policies, laboratory building design, laboratory water management, and the resilience approach to laboratory management.
Targets have been set for the introduction of new training topics into the TURKLAB Academy portfolio, focusing on the EU Green Deal legislation, sustainability, greenhouse gas verification, and environmental issues.
Decisions taken following the meeting have been documented and are being regularly monitored.
