The Consumer Products Laboratories Committee held its final meeting of 2022 on December 23, 2022, via Zoom, with the participation of its members.
The meeting began with the introduction of representatives from Eurofins Consumer Products Testing Services and Bureau Veritas Test Laboratories, who recently joined the committee. They were provided with information about the committee's operations and working principles.
During the meeting, Committee Chair Neslihan Sözer shared information regarding the application processes for test samples arriving at customs and pending shipments in the TPS system, followed by feedback from the members. Discussions were held on the Ministry’s 2023 analysis fee update process.
The committee also addressed delays experienced by UDKs in TÜRKAK accreditation processes and potential challenges the laboratory sector may face in 2023. Additionally, representatives from Taha Laboratory, which serves as an accredited proficiency testing provider for consumer products laboratories, participated in discussions regarding the sector’s challenges and expectations in proficiency testing.
It was decided that efforts would be made to improve the efficiency of the proficiency testing process for all parties involved.
