It has been reported that the efforts to establish an international association of calibration laboratories in Europe have been concluded. As a result, the European Calibration Association (EUROCAL) was founded on October 23, 2012, with the short name ""EUROCAL"", by Jiri Kazda (Czech Calibration Service - CKS), Peter Ulbig (German Calibration Service - DKD), and Frantisek Drozda (Slovak Calibration Association - KZSR).
EUROCAL aims to serve as a forum for coordinating and harmonizing cooperation among calibration laboratories and associations in EU countries. It has also been stated that the EUROCAL website is currently being launched.
