On June 12, 2024, the first meeting of the European Green Deal (AYM) Committee for 2024 was held with broad participation, adopting a proactive approach in discussions.

• Committee Chair Neşe Güneş delivered a detailed presentation to raise awareness about the European Green Deal (AYM) among committee members.
• Committee principles and working guidelines were reviewed.
• Evaluations were made on developing or acquiring a sectoral standard for ""Sustainable Laboratory Standard"" (SLS), either through new preparations or international collaborations.
• New training topics related to the European Green Deal, sustainability, greenhouse gas verification, and environmental issues were introduced into the TURKLAB Academy portfolio, with Neslihan Sözer and Birkan İskan assigned to lead these initiatives.
